Welcome to Atlantis Lake Joondalup Baptist College, a service dedicated to providing an inclusive environment where all children feel a sense of Belonging and can build respectful relationships with each other and their Educators.
Our focus at LJBC is help children become their best selves by encouraging them to have fun (because that is what childhood is really all about...) whilst engaging with a wide variety of exciting experiences, guided by Educators but designed by our children.
We believe that sparking true interest and following our children's lead is the best way to help them learn and grow.
Things our service specialises in:
We have a fantastic outdoor and nature-based learning environment.
We work closely with our school and families to ensure values continuity.
To allow our families more time to connect when they get home.
A focus on the curiosity of children to nurture genuine learning.
There is always something new to learn and do at Atlantis.
Our Educators are an extremely dedicated team of professionals, passionate about making our Service an enjoyable and inclusive place for all. Our next big project, based on our children's interests, will be to create a gardening space within the school where we can grow vegetables, learn about sustainability, build bird boxes and even a fairy garden or two. We hope you will come and join in the fun!
Outside School Hours Care
Whether you need support Before or After School, we provide nutritious meals, a nurturing environment and even a hand to hold. We pride ourselves on creating environments where children WANT to be.
Our Vacation Care programs are the best in the business. We base our programs around children's interests during the term and what gets top votes at the end of every holidays. Children lead and learning follows.
Hello families, I am Kirsti your Coordinator at Atlantis LJBC. I have been working for Atlantis for six and half years, initially as an Educator, then a Qualified Educator and now I am privileged enough to be your Coordinator.
Originally, I started my career in the UK as a Building Services Engineer but after a move to Perth in 2014, decided that I wanted a change and a new challenge. The Early Childhood Education and Care industry seemed the perfect fit, as I have always loved children, and I have never looked back.
My passion for this career is in being able to provide exciting and inviting learning experiences for our Atlantis children, allowing them the opportunity to use their imaginations and creativity as much as possible - as I feel that is a crucial element in being able to learn.
I believe that my job is all about your children and ensuring they feel safe, secure and supported. I look forward to meeting you all and starting to get to know your family better.
