Ready, Set Move! Let the challenge begin!

Designed to inspire children to be active, challenge themselves and celebrate their personal growth, this exciting initiative brings together fitness, fun and friendly competition in a way that encourages every child to participate.

How the TAG Sports Fitness Challenge Works

Each month, children aged 5 - 12 years will take part in a new series of age-appropriate fitness challenges led by our educators and TAG Sports coaches.

These include:

•    Push Up(with Knee Push Up and Front Plank regressions for kids still building up)

•    Sit Up

•    Standing Broad Jump

Rather than focusing solely on who is the fastest or strongest, each OSHC service will celebrate effort, persistence and personal progress. Individual achievements will be displayed within each service, and families will receive regular updates through Storypark at the end of every month.

To add even more excitement, each term our nine OSHC services will go head-to-head on the TAG Sports Service Leaderboard, creating a fun, community-wide competition where every child contributes to their service's success.

Why Movement Matters

Active children are happy, healthy learners.

Regular physical activity supports children's physical development by building stronger muscles and bones, improving balance, coordination and motor skills, while also contributing to their overall health and wellbeing.

Just as importantly, movement has a powerful impact on children's mental and emotional wellbeing. It helps reduce stress, boosts confidence, encourages resilience and gives children opportunities to develop teamwork, leadership and positive relationships with their peers.

The TAG Sports Fitness Challenge is designed to nurture all of these important life skills while creating an environment where children encourage one another, celebrate achievements and enjoy the fun of healthy competition.

At our OSHC services, we know that learning doesn't stop when the school bell rings.

Physical activity plays an important role in supporting children's cognitive development and literacy skills. Research shows that movement helps improve concentration, memory, attention and executive functioning—all essential foundations for successful learning.

Here's to stronger bodies, growing minds, lifelong healthy habits and plenty of smiles along the way. Let the games begin!
