Job Description

We’re seeking an experienced and passionate Educational Leader to join our vibrant Tall Tree Early Learning team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a knowledgeable and inspiring educator to step into a leadership role within a high-quality, Reggio Emilia-inspired learning environment. To be successful in this role, you must hold a bachelor’s in early childhood education and care (or equivalent teaching qualification), have at least one year of experience in a similar leadership role, and demonstrate a deep understanding of the EYLF, NQF, and Reggio Emilia approach to early education.

Your Role

As the Educational Leader at Tall Tree Early Learning, you will play a pivotal role in guiding and mentoring our team of educators to deliver exceptional early childhood programs. You will work closely with the Centre Leadership Team to support curriculum development, ensure alignment with best practices, and inspire reflective, intentional teaching across all age groups. This is a dynamic and rewarding role for a driven educator who is confident in educational theory, enjoys mentoring others, and is passionate about creating environments where children and educators alike can flourish.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing reflection of the centre’s educational programs in line with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and     National Quality Framework (NQF).
  • Inspire and support a team of educators to deliver engaging, child-led, and Reggio Emilia-inspired learning experiences.
  • Model and promote excellence in pedagogical practice and documentation.
  • Mentor educators, offering feedback and strategies to enhance intentional teaching and learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Centre Management to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and standards.
  • Foster a culture of curiosity, creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Actively participate in professional development and lead team training initiatives.

Your Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s in early childhood education and care (or equivalent).
  • A minimum of one year experience as an Educational Leader or in a similar leadership role within an early learning setting.
  • A deep understanding of the EYLF, NQF, and the Reggio Emilia philosophy.
  • Proven ability to guide and support educators in curriculum planning and reflective practice.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and unite a team.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills.
  • A genuine passion for early education and a commitment to achieving the best outcomes for children.
