Reptiles and Smiles: A Day of Discovery at Ocean Keys

Last Saturday, 21 March, the sun was shining on Clarkson as we opened our doors for the Ocean Keys Open Day. It was a day filled with laughter, community connection, and plenty of "wow" moments as families from all over the area came to explore our beautiful centre and see what makes the Ocean Keys experience so special.

From the moment families arrived, it was clear the team at Ocean Keys had truly outdone themselves. The atmosphere was buzzing, and the interaction between our educators and the visiting children was a joy to watch.

A Playground of Possibilities

We wanted to showcase the variety of experiences our children enjoy every day, so we set up a range of interactive play stations designed to engage every sense:

  • Colour & Sparkle: Our face painting station was a hit, transforming little ones into tigers, butterflies, and superheroes.
  • Bubble  Magic: Giant bubbles floated through the air, creating a whimsical backdrop for toddlers to chase and pop.
  • Taste of the Centre: Our kitchen team prepared a spread of delicious, nutritious snacks, giving parents a "literal" taste of the high-quality menu our children enjoy daily.
  • TAG Sports in Action: Our signature TAG Sports program was in full swing, with coach Hayden leading mini sessions that showed how we make movement and coordination fun for even our youngest learners.

No open day is complete with a coffee in one hand for parents and a reptile display for children. The interaction between the little creatures and children was one to remember.

A Big Thank You to Our Team

A huge shout-out must go to the Atlantis Group Ocean Keys team. Their dedication to creating an inclusive, welcoming, and organised event was evident in every detail. Whether they were touring the centre with new families, helping a toddler with a craft project, or simply sharing a laugh with a new family, their passion for early childhood education shone through.

Events like these remind us why we do what we do—to build a supportive village where children can feel safe to explore, learn, and grow.
