Yanchep Vertex Estate

Welcome to Atlantis Early Learning

Yanchep Vertex Estate

Atlantis Vertex opened in May 2022 and is Yanchep's newest Early Learning Centre, providing quality care and education for children from 8-weeks to 5 years of age. The centre has been built in a modern Hampton’s design to represent the aesthetic of the area and the families who attend. We provide children with homely, beachy, light and bright environments where they can continue to explore and discover the world around them. Enrolments are now open, contact us for more information.

Our Learning Environment caters for different ages, with qualified, experienced and professional Educators with each age group to specialise in the developmental and emotional needs of that particular group.

Atlantis Vertex is The Atlantis Group's fourth centre in Yanchep, we are proud to have shared the Early Learning journey with so many families in the Yanchep and Two Rocks area. We have been fortunate enough to have seen many hundreds of babies and young children learn, develop and grow whilst in our care and move on to Primary School, in fact many continue to utilise our Atlantis Outside School Care service which is located on-site at Yanchep Beach Primary School.

Reggio Emilia Philosophy

The Reggio Emilia Philosophy is an innovative and inspiring approach to early childhood education, which values the child as strong, capable and resilient; rich with wonder and knowledge. The Philosophy rides on the coattails of the innate curiosity of children and aims to assist them with understanding their world and who they are in it.

The Child - The Reggio Emilia philosophy values the child as central to their own learning, not simply an empty vessel waiting to be filled with knowledge. Children are able to pursue their own interests and revisit and build upon ideas at their own pace. You may have heard of something called the ‘100 languages of children’. This concept recognises that children have multiple ways of thinking, playing, exploring, speaking and doing. The Reggio Emilia approach encourages children to use every tool they have to express themselves.

The Environment - A Reggio-inspired environment, often referred to as ‘the third teacher’, is one that is open and free-flowing. It enables uninterrupted exploration, play and learning. Outdoor spaces are valued just as highly as formal classrooms, and the design of the space should allow children to move freely between the two. In addition, it is important that children have free access to stimulating resources, as they cannot be the owner of their learning journey without this.

The Teacher - Teachers are encouraged to observe children rather than to direct them. It is important that children are allowed to experiment in their own way, make mistakes and find new solutions. The role of the teacher is to gently move students towards areas of interest to them, and this can only be done through careful observation carried out over time.

Meet Beatrice
Our Centre Manager at Atlantis Early Learning Yanchep Vertex

Hello, I’m Beatrice, Your Centre Manager at Atlantis Early Learning Yanchep Vertex.

Originally from Zimbabwe, my family and I have proudly called Western Australia home for the past 12 years.

My journey in early childhood education has been defined by a hands-on approach and a genuine love for building the communities where our children grow. I’ve been fortunate to experience almost every facet of centre life—starting as an Educator and Team Leader, then moving into mentoring peers as a Senior Educator, and eventually refining my operational skills as a Service Manager. These roles, supported by my Certificate III, IV, and Diploma, have given me a deep understanding of what quality care looks like from the ground up.

I truly believe that the heart of a successful centre lies in the strength of its relationships. My approach is centered on creating a bridge of trust and transparency with our families, ensuring you always feel heard and valued. I am equally dedicated to empowering my staff through open communication and genuine care, because I know that when our educators feel supported, they can provide the best possible world for the children.

As a mother of two daughters myself, I bring a family-centered perspective to everything I do, striving every day to foster a warm, nurturing environment where every child feels safe, seen, and ready to thrive.

I look forward to welcoming you and your families to our centre at Yanchep Vertex.

Testimonials

Yanchep

What I love most about Atlantis Early Learning Yanchep Vertex is that the educational approaches aren’t just written on paper but are a lived experience for the child and their family. Child emotional well-being is central to what the staff do during the day. A cuddle on arrival when needed is the exact thing to help my child transition. Check-ins during the day and emotional support when upset is important to me. As a healthcare professional working with under 5s I prioritised finding a daycare that was screen free which turns out is incredibly difficult. Thank you Atlantis for prioritising play, emotional and mental well-being of our future generations. We truly do not need to rush childhood. Play is the greatest work our children can do and Atlantis Vertex curates a beautiful space for them to explore.

My son started Atlantis Vertex after attending a different day for 18 months. He was never settled and never bonded with any of the Educators there as they had a huge staff turnover. At Atlantis Vertex he has settled and now looks forward to going to daycare. He talks about his educators on days he’s not attending daycare and if we do something fun he says he cannot wait to tell his friends at daycare. The facilities itself are great and they look so clean but inviting. I’m so happy we chose Atlantis!

This service is terrific from the moment we conducted a tour all the staff were friendly, happy smiling at our child and got a thorough look around. The first day of our child booked in we were greeted with lots of smiles great communication on how they work with the children what they do throughout the day and that they work with your schedule. At the end of the day it's great to see your child happy, clean and well looked after and knowing they are in good hands.

I love that I can drop my child off in the morning and they are excited to get straight in to it without hesitation. I know they are happy and feel safe in their environment at vertex atlantis. My child has thrived in so many ways being at daycare.
