Get to know Atlantis Yanchep Beach

Hello Families!

Welcome to Atlantis Yanchep Beach. Our Yanchep Beach After School Service runs out of the enclosed undercover area, on the premises of Yanchep Beach Primary School.

In addition to the undercover area, we also have access to the school’s miracle playground, oval, basketball court and undercover playgrounds, which allow us to provide a comprehensive Outdoor Program; catering to a wide range of skill sets and interests. This also allows for flexibility during the winter months.

We have full use of the library as well, which means children can get a head start on their homework, leaving more time to spend as a family when they get home with you.

Why choose us?

We pride ourselves on providing fun and exciting experiences for your child, that they can learn and grow from. We encourage free play and freedom of choice to allow development of their social skills; and to assist them in learning how to regulate their own emotional well-being.

For those attending Before School Care, breakfast is available and children are encouraged to take part in the morning Yoga Classes, providing the perfect, calming start to their day.

Once children arrive at After School Care, we engage in a quick “Catch Up” session and a progressive afternoon tea is provided with a focus on healthy eating.

What our Centre offers Families

We help families, especially new enrolments, settle into their new routine and ensure exceptional care for your children – providing guidance, support and experience for your child in important life skills to help them learn and grow.

We provide feedback to you on your child’s behaviour, social development and emotional development – as well as acting as liaisons between families and the school, with any important messages from Teachers being passed directly to our Educators, to be later communicated to you. This enables you to remain completely in-touch and up-to-date on your child’s schooling.

We ensure your children’s safety with Junior year children being dropped off and picked up directly from their teachers. Upper year children have a designated meeting spot in a secure part of the school grounds.

We understand how difficult it can be to have your child in OSHC, so we spend a lot of time and attention in making this a smooth and pleasant experience for both yourself and your child alike. Some of the things we offer are:

  • Family Workshops and Seminars on important topics
  • Regular and consistent communication via our Facebook Page, Parent Evenings and emails

In addition to this, we pride ourselves on getting to know your family. We will know you and your family on a first-name basis and will build a strong and meaningful relationship that enables us to work with you, in partnership with the school, to provide the best possible care for your little ones.

What makes our Centre special?

We have a wonderful staff of unique individuals, each bringing their own personality and strengths to our team. Your child will have someone they can feel that important connection with to make them comfortable and our staff will always go above and beyond in their duties, to ensure OSHC is a place your child wants to be, rather than a place they have to be.

Your child is given complete freedom of choice in what they would like to do. Our Educators will spend time with your child; assisting, supporting and teaching. Activities we provide for your child to engage in should they show an interest are:

  • Sensory activities
  • Arts and Crafts
  • Quiet time
  • Homework sessions
  • Home corner
  • Imaginary play
  • Construction-based play
  • Outdoor play

As part of our After School service, we also provide incursions including Martial Arts, Dance and a variety of other sports. These are designed to suit a variety of interests and capabilities.

For children who may have difficulty in identifying and communicating their feelings, we bring in a professional who teaches the children to express themselves through Beat Boxing and Rapping. This has been met with great success.

A quick chat with your Coordinator Rachel

Hello Families, I am Rachel, your Coordinator for our Yanchep Beach Service.

I have worked in the Early Childhood Education and Care industry for the past 15-years and do this job solely for my love of children. It is such a rewarding job when you get to see the children you care for learn and grow – and to know that you have been a part of that.

I have so many great memories from over the years and absolutely love to hear the fantastical stories children tell you after their weekend. I once had a beautiful little girl tell me she had been to Kenya on the weekend and about all of the amazing animals she saw while she was there! I love the imagination and creativity of a child’s mind.

My favourite activity to do with the children is to dance around and watch their freedom of expression, especially when I have time to join in myself.

I look forward to hopefully meeting your family soon.
