Our Toddler Rooms care for children aged 2-3 years
Toddlers enter a critical period of learning, exploration and social / emotional development. We ensure they enjoy the next step in our Early Learning Program to meet the developmental needs for this age group. Our Educators work closely with your children, to ensure each child’s individual development is progressing appropriately for their age.
Children are starting to become autonomous learners. So, with this in mind, we ensure our Toddler Care Room is designed to encourage children to do things for themselves. Toddlers delight in finding they can do some things without help. Atlantis Educators recognise this stage of development and assist the children to develop self- control and use their newly developing skills in positive ways.
Our Toddler children take part in a shared lunch routine, where self-help skills are encouraged. Hammock-style beds are set out for their sleep routine. Each child has their own linen and Educators sit with children while they settle in to sleep while listening to relaxing music.
Toilet training is incorporated into the room’s routines. Carers liaise with parents on the child’s progress and can give helpful assistance for while children are at home. We always ensure to work with both parents and children to help Toddlers achieve milestones in their own time and in a supportive environment.
